The impact of dietary advanced glycation endproducts
Armand Linkens is a MD currently in training to become a general practitioner. In 2022, he obtained his PhD-doctorate at the lab of Internal Medicine under supervision of professor Casper Schalkwijk. To investigate whether restriction of dietary advanced glycation endproducts can prevent diabetes, Armand combined state-of-art measures in a randomized controlled trial, a large population-based observational cohort, and experimental studies in mice.
